We’re proud to feature the work of award-winning New Hampshire artist Alicia K. Drakiotes at the Forest Society’s Conservation Center in Concord, now through August 30.
Drakiotes’ exhibit, Love of the Land, reflects her deep appreciation for the beauty and impermanence of New England’s natural and working landscapes. Her vivid oil paintings often depict stone foundations, weathered barns, and coastal scenes—subtle reminders that time leaves its mark on all things.
“My paintings are a natural response to the environment and the reality that life changes all,” Drakiotes says. Her recent works incorporate a broken color technique layered over an expressive underpainting, allowing light and texture to shine through.
Based in Marlborough, NH, Drakiotes has taught art workshops throughout the region and has been juried into numerous regional and national exhibitions. Her work is also held in several permanent collections, including Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, VT, and Monadnock Global Partners in Keene.
Stop by our Conservation Center at 54 Portsmouth Street in Concord during business hours to experience her work in person—and see how a love of the land comes to life on canvas.
