Expand High Watch Preserve on Green Mountain

High Watch Preserve became the Forest Society’s 100th protected property in 1997, when Charie Watts donated 1,035 acres on Green Mountain. Since then, six additional acquisitions have expanded High Watch to 2,366 acres, making it one of the Forest Society’s largest preserves.

Today, we have an opportunity to add another 122 acres on the flank of Green Mountain, connecting High Watch Preserve with conserved lands along the Ossipee River. Protecting this land would strengthen an important wildlife corridor, help safeguard local water resources and scenic views of Green Mountain, and expand opportunities for pedestrian public access.

We have already raised 95% of the $640,000 needed to complete this project. Just $32,000 remains.

Your gift today can help us close the final gap and protect these 122 acres as part of High Watch Preserve for generations to come. Visit here to contribute.
