Emily Bartolini

Red oak tree on Little Harbor Loop Trail

Southeast Region Program Manager

As Southeast Region Program Manager, Emily designs, updates, and delivers conservation education programs to people of all ages in New Hampshire’s seacoast region, connecting the community to local ecosystems and the rest of the state.

Emily built her career on the principle that conservation science is for everyone. As a conservation educator and leader, she shares knowledge, skills, strategies, and most importantly, joy, so that all can enjoy and protect natural heritage and resources in a way that functions for them in their lives and communities. Her passion for science communication, love of New England’s diverse ecosystems and history, and constant pursuit of both learning and teaching has had her in many conservation disciplines.

Some of these include humane education programming in animal shelters, outdoor adventure and STEM programs for urban youth, wildlife and ecology research, wildlife rehabilitation, and coordination of volunteer and internship programs before arriving at the Forest Society. Emily is excited to use her combined skills and experiences at the Creek Farm in Portsmouth. She holds a B.S. in Captive Wildlife Care and Education from Unity Environmental University and a Professional Science Masters (PSM) in Conservation Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

In her personal time, Emily can be found wandering art museums with her partner, in front of her sewing machine, and fixing up her old house in Dover, NH.
