Hannah McCarthy
Major Gifts Officer
Hannah joined the Forest Society in 2026 as Major Gifts Officer, bringing together her background in philanthropy and natural resources. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, she studied environmental conservation and sustainability with a focus on forestry and land management. Her undergraduate research on invasive shrub species control in New England forests led to two publications in Forest Ecology and Management.
With a strong appreciation for community and relationship-building, Hannah enjoys helping donors deepen their connection to the Forest Society and connecting people with opportunities to support the places and communities they care about.
Hannah lives in Newmarket with her fiancé, Ben, and their two cats, Brisket and Tina. Outside of work, you can find her keeping up with her book club, hosting dinner parties with friends, exploring local trails, or doing her absolute best to keep up on the ski slopes each winter.
