ATTENTION HIKERS - TIMBER HARVEST NOTICE
Starting July 15, 2026 This trail currently runs through an active timber harvest. Harvesting equipment may be crossing the trail or working adjacent to it. Please stay 500 feet away from any equipment.
The trail remains open unless 'trail closed' signs have been posted.
Be alert for logging equipment and keep dogs leashed when equipment is running for the safety of any dogs and our operators.

The Forest Society primarily manages this property for sustainable forestry, productive wildlife habitat, and other conservation benefits in support of the greater Durham/Madbury community. While all of our reservations are open to the public, this property may be difficult to access due to a lack of developed recreation features and resources such as signage, parking, established trails, and a detailed Forest Reservation Guide map.
