The Forest Society's headquarters, the Conservation Center in Concord, is situated above the Merrimack River on about 100 acres of conserved land called the Merrimack River Outdoor Education and Conservation Area. Trails on the property offer views of the river and a stroll through an excellent example of a silver maple floodplain forest ecosystem.Though we're on the I-93 corridor and in a residential neighborhood, because of this conserved land we enjoy seeing all sorts of wildlife.
