Christmas Tree Baler Assistant Part-time (Bethlehem)

Reports to:   Christmas Tree Farmer                      

Non-exempt, Part-time, Seasonal     

$16.00 per hour

Position Summary: This position provides Christmas Tree Sales assistance by operating the tree baling machine in order to ensure a successful Christmas tree sales process and provide a positive experience for Rocks guests. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates the Christmas tree baler machine (used to wrap Christmas trees)
  • Operates tree hole drilling machine
  • Helps with merchandising and stocking wreaths
  • Lights and maintains fire rings
  • Directs parking during peak visitation
  • Assist with shoveling and sanding as needed in retail areas

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to run gas powered baling machine
  • Ability to lift 50-75-lb Christmas trees
  • Positive and cheerful disposition
  • Ability to work outside all day standing in severe wind, snow, or rain

Working Conditions:  Christmas tree farm setting. Outside work in all weather conditions including cold temperatures.

Physical Requirements: 

  • The ability to stand on gravel surface outside all day
  • Ability to run a gas-powered motor and baler
  • Ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs.
