Bretzfelder Summer Series: A Midsummer Night's Dream

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" will be performed as part of the award-winning Theatre Under The Stars' Summer Festival on August 6 at The Rocks.

This beloved madcap romance is the Bard at his best as three storylines collide with each other to great comic effect: A quartet of star-crossed Athenian lovers lost in the woods, a warring King and Queen of Fairies and a troupe of blue-collar amateur actors desperately attempting to mount a play for the Duke's wedding!

Bretzfelder Summer Series: Critter Communities

The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center returns to Bretzfelder Park on Wednesday, August 13 at 6 p.m. for a free program titled “Critter Communities, a Live Animal Program.”

Join a Squam Lakes Science Center naturalist to meet wild animals that you could encounter in our forests, fields, or wetlands. Discover what makes them well-suited for surviving in the natural communities they inhabit.

Bretzfelder Summer Series: Live Music with Barnyard Incident

Live Americana music with the local group, Barnyard Incident, will play on August 20 at 6 p.m. 

The Barnyard Incident brings together Deb Rossetti, vocals and percussion; James Sullivan, fiddle, guitar and vocals; Perry Williams, upright bass and vocals; Barry Moore, dobro, guitar, mando harp and vocals; and Dean Bakes, on mandolin, electric guitar, banjo and vocals.

Bretzfelder Summer Series: Moose Ecology

Rounding out the series on August 27 at 6 p.m., participants will learn about moose ecology and the current threats to the population to help attendees understand why there are fewer moose in New Hampshire now than 20 years ago. 

Henry Jones, Moose Project Leader with NH Fish and Game, In his role, he coordinates moose management in New Hampshire. Jones will provide an update on how the population is currently faring.
