How to submit comments on the Energy Dept.'s Northern Pass Report

The public will be able to express opinions and provide feedback on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Northern Pass project at public meetings or by mail or email. 

A 90-day comment period will begin soon after the study is published in the Federal Register. The Department of Energy will conduct public hearings on Oct. 6 in Concord; Oct. 7 in Whitefield, and Oct. 8 in Plymouth. 

Comments can be submitted verbally during public hearings or in writing to Brian Mills, Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability, U.S. Department of Energy, 1000 Independence Ave., SW, Washington, DC 20585. 

Comments can also be submitted via e-mail to draftEIScomments@northernpasseis.us; or at the project website at www.northernpasseis.us/comment.

Envelopes and electronic mail subject lines should read: “Northern Pass Draft EIS Comments,” and must be received by Oct. 29.
