Dave Anderson is Director of Education for the Forest Society. He is responsible for the design and delivery of conservation education programs to Society members, conservation partners and the general public. He also writes the "Nature’s View" feature in Forest Notes magazine and the "Forest Journal" column in the NH Sunday News. These essays discuss seasonal topics related to the people, wildlife, ecology, stewardship and economies reliant on the woodlands of New Hampshire. From his front-row seat, Anderson shares the Forest Society's core land conservation mission and writes not only in defense of forests, but in celebration of the tapestry of social, economic, and ecological values dependent upon wise land use and forest preservation.
Anderson and his family live on a 40-acre certified tree farm in South Sutton that includes chickens, sheep, a small fruit tree orchard, pastures, vegetable gardens and a backyard maple sugaring operation and actively managed woodlot.
